RIVERfest 2008: The Elizabeth River Project

Festive lights and elegant tents transformed Portsmouth's boardwalk for RIVERfest 2008. The Elizabeth River Project plans to make the Elizabeth River fishable and swimmable by 2020. The riverfront cocktail party included food donated by area restaurants, music, dancing and a silent auction. More than 300 citizens came out to celebrate and fund the project.
